Ashton is an upcoming senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he is pursuing a business degree through the Haslam College of Business. He is also a graduate of The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.

Ashton spent six summers working at Hurricane Marina, giving him valuable experience with the lake, its marinas, surrounding communities, and recreational opportunities.
